(my plan is to update this with pictures, I don't think I'm going to get around to taking his pictures for a couple weeks though so I'm going to just go ahead and post this since I wrote it Sept 1st anyways, ha.)
My baby is so big. 21 months. When people ask how old he is I never know what to say. He's 1, but he's so much bigger and older than what you think a 1 year old is. He's kinda close to 1 1/2 but again, he seems much older and bigger than what you'd think an 18 month old. People without toddlers get all flustered and confused when I say 21 months trying to do all the math in their head. Almost 2 is 3 months away, he's not a 2 year old, he's still my baby boy 1 year old. Ha, it doesn't matter but it does to me. So usually I'll say, he'll be 2 in December so 20 months (that was my response during the month of July).
NO is the chosen word for nearly everything. No as in I don't want to do x. No as in I know this is a no no and I'm telling it to you. Or No as in I just like to say that word because I get a reaction out of you. Take your pick.
He is definitely a busy boy. Always into something new it seems like and going from one activity to the next constantly. For the most part he's not intentionally naughty. Of course he is sometimes, I'm just talking about the majority of the time he's really pretty great: sweet, obedient, helpful. Of course I think he's the best thing ever because I'm his mama. He's really not that destructive which is very good.
He's beginning to get opinionated and able to really communicate what he wants (even if it is with a yell/squeal, we're communicating, ha). Today for church he insisted he wear the red pants, not the khaki ones. Often times during the week he'll persistently ask me to put his church shoes on and wear them all around the house in the morning while his PJ's are one.
If he wants food he'll go find it, unless that area is locked (mwahaha! parenting victory with child locks!) The other day before we had the fridge lock on, he opened it, got out yogurt and brought it to me. He had already had one that morning so I told him no and why and asked him to put it back. He goes bcd to the fridge puts it back, and then brings me the bottle of whip cream. I thought that was jus so funny that I obliged with a little squirt in his mouth, he thought I was so awesome (and I kinda did too a little;)
He sings let it go, I kid you not. If somehow he's triggered to remember the movie (which really he hasn't seen that much) he'll start singing "gooooooo! (pause) goooooo!" It's flipping adorable. I need to catch it on video before he stops.
He's been playing with toys longer than he used to which is so much fun and great for me. Tonight he got out a little bag of army men I picked up years ago at a Goodwill and I taught him to line them up on the bottom little ridge of his crib, it was great.
Along the line of toys, shape sorting and puzzles he's been getting fantastic at. It's fun to see that progress from even 2 months ago.
He's my little shadow. I go upstairs, he goes upstairs. I go down, he goes down. I go to the bathroom he goes in the bathroom (to then play in the sink). I like it.
Although he does love me so very much, he's been obsessed with Casey lately. Constantly asking for "dada? dada? go? dada?" And it just keeps going. He's always very concerned when dada is not around. The other day Casey ran into the bank for about 15 minutes and Maxson's eyes were welling up with tears, it was so sad. He was so persistent on dada. I keep telling Casey he likes him more than me but he reassures me that he does the same thing with "mama" when I'm gone, who knows if that's the truth.
He loves playing in the drives seat with the "teeees" (keys).
He gets very excited to go next door to play with Julie and Grace (and all their toys).
His new words these days are apple, iPad, poopoo, peepee, tractor, choochoo, popsicle (pop pop)
It's funny how kids automatically translate words into repeated syllable representations and are more attracted towards sounds like that: mama, dada, papa, poopoo, peeped, pop pop, buh buh. The only word we can think of that he says as just one syllable is ball
His yes is still a grunt. Not necessarily a man grunt but more of a short "hmm" grunt. We keep trying to get him to say "yaya" in response to a yes questions because he can say that but sticks with his "hmm" grunt int he end.
When he says/repeats the prayer for his turn, he does that same "hmm" grunt for every word except dear, mama, dada, and babies.
He loves to point out people who are not folding their arms for the prayer.
He's getting pretty dang close to pedaling. He can kinda do it on a few different tricycles, I bet within the month he'll be pedaling. One of his favorite activities is riding his little trike down our driveway and all along the sidewalk of of our house. He's been SO awesome at not going into the street anymore, hallelujah.
He loves all things animals, especially dogs. In the car, he spots them immediately in front or n the side of our car even when they're far away. I really wish we could have a dog for him (and to clean up all the messes he makes on the floor during mealtimes). If we're outside and someone is walking dog we HAVE to go pet the dog, it's his favorite things I swear.
He's an excellent sleeper, sleeping 12-13 hours at night and naps anywhere from 1-3 hours depending on the day's activities and timing of naps (and if the lawn is being mowed, grr).
He's a great cuddler when the time is right, in the mornings, going to bed, sitting down to watch a special occasion movie. For some wild reasons he let me hold and cuddle and rock him for about 5 minutes sat church and my heart wanted to burst. It was the best.
Sometimes if he gets a short nap he wakes up really crabby which is the worst. I give 1/3 of an otter pop and he usually turns back into my happy baby. I eat the other 2/3. This morning while getting ready for church he fell off the edge of the bathtub (that's where he stands to play in the sink) and must have gotten hurt somewhere. It was so sad. I gave him a popsicle to help him feel better plus I saw a little bit of bloody saliva coming out of his mouth so I figured a cold popsicle would be good for it. Well since it 10 am I didn't want my part of the popsicle. Maxson was very concerned I wasn't eating the popsicle, ha. Kept quizzically looking at me with his hands in the where'd it go look and saying "pop pop?"
Things that give him the most excitement in life: dogs, bubbles, our new bounce house, going over to Grace and Julie's house, dada coming home, being chased by dada, getting out of his crib in the morning

the 18 month old maximus
oh my heck, maxson is 18 months old. definitely no baby, although i call him my baby all the time and tell him "no, babies can't do/play with that." he's such a character, so much personality, opinion, spunk, tenacity, and determination. and i proceed with the list of things i would like to remember about 18 month old maxson (the terrorist) cutler.
words he says (that us parents can understand ;) : dada, mama, papa, ball (ba), shoes, teeth, cheese, no no, more, love you, choo choo, yeah, buh-bye, bubbles (bubu), thank you, baby. there's probably a few others but that's what i can remember for now
whenever he gets hurts (and it hurt enough to make him cry) he runs to us and then points at the object that hurt him be that the ground, a chair, a toy, a slide, etc. overall, he doesn't cry about getting hurt which is amazing i think, and when he does cry, it lasts less than 5 seconds usually
the only gestures he does to us now are "all done" always waved frantically with much gusto, and when he's pooping he tells us. hoping that pooping gesture helps in the future.
he's intrigued by babies. i wouldn't say he loves them, but whenever he's around one he keeps coming back to them to point in their face and says bay-bay. comes back over and over again, points and runs away. hoping that intrigue mixed with distance will help in the future ha.
he thinks it's so fun to wipe himself. he gets a wipe out as often as he sees the pack and starts wiping himself, he loves it, and it's just funny to watch
loves cars, balls, and books so very much, and as of lately watching tall towers made of blocks fall down as he runs through them.
he runs fast. like super fast i think for an 18 month old, his arms are tight to his body, bent at the elbows, his knees drive diagonally forward and his hips twist with every movement but man oh man he is so fast. sometimes he leans a little forward too to get places faster and other times he kinda just run phoebe buffet style
he gives the best hugs and kisses whenever asked to, and sometime they just come out of the blue. he puts his little arms right around your neck and squeezes real hard for a few seconds. for kisses, he puckers his lips up and gives you big wet one freely, sometimes pulling your face in with his little chubby hands if your face isn't close enough for his liking. and in the past couple months he's added a great smacking sound affect to all his kisses, we love it.
he loves to eat mud, it's awful. there's this tiny area on the sidewalk outside our back door that always turns muddy and he's ALWAYS stuffing it in his mouth, urgh. he'll then spit (most/some) of it out but you know that some got in his tummy, it drives me bonkers.
i've begun to give into the iPad/iphone. we've found a few games that i feel are really educational and are helping his learning progress. we love endless alphabet, lotto 1, happy baby, the children's primary songs, and a few of the fisher price apps that teach about shapes, colors, and animals. the first 2 i mentioned i've especially seen progress in his matching skills and he's realized things only have one match. i figure it's better than a tv of just zoning out
he loves doing actions to certain songs: monkeys swinging in the tree, popcorn popping, daddy's homecoming, monkeys on the bed
he's obsessed with animals. dogs and cats mostly. he just loves them to pieces. i really wish we had a dog because that would be hours of entertainment for him, hours.
he loves meat, especially steak and roast, ha. he guzzles that stuff it seems like.
very intrigued by small bugs on the sidewalk, always trying to pick them up.
grabs you by the hand to show you what he wants from where.
he loves saying goodbye to people, anyone, anything. i think he may secretly love leaving things so he gets to tell things buh-bye and wave (his wave mimics that of a little pac man)
when singing songs to go to sleep, he must have everything that's in his crib in his arms: monkey and 2 blankets. when i go in to get him when he wakes up he gives me monkey and the 2 blankets first and then gets out. habits i guess
he's sleeping 11-12 hours at night with a 3 hour nap during the day. i swear he's sleeping longer now in a 24 hour period than the did that first year of babyhood, i don't get it...

yep, we've got one big kid on our hands.

12 months of maxson
my how my boy has grown!

word to the wise future parents: it's healthy for children to have special "loveies" like stuffed animals and blankets for many different reasons, i encourage you to pick it for them from the very beginning before they even think about picking their own.
i'm proud to sayour brainwashing worked maxson loves his (BYU) monkey so very much!

i'm proud to say
wish i had done better on the raindrop series.
the months i missed we were either out of town of we did his monthly photos outside where the weather was crazy nice and i didn't feel like cleaning off his dresser.
OR it's because those months i knew he would NOT stay on the table and just fall right off in a heartbeat.

you win some, you lose some, i do like how this series starts when he's a newborn!

love looking through all these photos.
in 12 months time he has
gained 15 #s 8 oz,
grown 9 3/4 in,
learned to crawl, walk and talk in his own special way :)

my 1 year old baby boy
12 month stats:
31" (89%ile)
23 # 14 oz (85%ile)
18 1/2 in head (75%)
quite the proportioned (big) little boy

at 1 years old what is this child doing?

well definitely his personality is shining through.
he is a really relaxed, easy going, chill boy.
we got dang lucky with this one.
his jabbering is constant.
if you catch him at the right time he spits out garbled nonsense continually with his tongue in full action just staring at you as he garbles on.
we have the best conversations.
constantly helping me with everything.
seriously, whatever i'm doing, maxson wants to be right there along side watching me do it or helping me do it.
recently i've been pulling a chair into the kitchen to let him watch my activities in there.
sometimes this works but often times it just makes the situation worse since he wants to pick everything up (knives, bowls full of ingredients, etc)

he's into EVERYTHING.
this is the real baby proofing stage.
because he's so tall i can't just put things on the table to get them out of the way,
there has to be a 5 inch radius from the edge if i don't want it ending up on the floor.
even beyond that he still figures out ways to get stuff off counters, i'm amazed.
his phone radar is at an all time high.
i swear it's the first thing he finds after naps, mealtimes, new places, new people.
if you have a phone on you he will find it!

he loves strangers, he really does.
no matter where we are, if there's a stranger that starts paying attention to him, he walks straight up to them and lifts his arms up to them to be picked up.
people love it.
and i'm glad he can bring a little joy to others.
he's never gone through the stranger danger phase.
he's super into cars and balls.
so totally boy all around.

a favorite game of his is fetch to throw an item across the room so he can bring it back to you.
we do this multiple times a day and he thinks it's the best.
gets books out, opens them to look at pictures, sits still while i read for awhile,
it's a fun new stage

very much into climbing on top of things.
he can't get up too much yet but if there's a box at his level you can bet he wants to sit on it.
same with the activity table.
speaking of boxes and activity tables, he's really strong,
if those things are in his way to something he wants to reach (i.e.- christmas trees, dishwashers, mom, toys stuck in corner, etc) he will full on pick it up from the bottom and roll/push it over to get it out of his way.
i once put a laundry basket full of heavy clothes and lotions in front of a door that doesn't close so he couldn't get out and he pushed the whole things out of his way with his body weight.
he's finally learned to go down the stairs!!!!!!
hallelujah my worried mother heart of getting hurt falling down the stairs has been lifted.
go maximus!

he loves riding his different cars around the house while making motor boat noises.
and his vacuum too (a birthday present from grammy and grandpa cutler).
he is obsessed with those 2 items.
i'm pretty sure he says the word go.
he gets super excited when i start putting his coat on asking him if he wants to go somewhere and continually shouts "guh guh guh!"
sleeps 10-12 hours straight through at night with 1-2 long naps during the day.
i can't complain.

he loves food.
any food.
all food.
he would probably eat all day long if i let him.
the only thing he doesn't like is scrambled eggs, which i should probably introduce to him again.
as tradition continues, we are enamored by this little one.
we've had the most wonderful year with him in our lives.
these days we just watch him toddle around playing while he jabbers on and we giggle at his adorable cuteness.

he came into our lives at the most perfect time.
we love this little boy with all our heart.
happy 1 year on earth maxson,
we're so very grateful that Heavenly Father sent you to us!
thank you for being the most wonderful little boy to have in our home!

WALKING
he definitely prefers walking to crawling.
he's so big!
but it's just as i imagined, he walks around the corner with a toy (or kitchen object) in his hand looking for me in excitement. cutest boy ever.
comprehending SOOO much!
claps, high fives, and gives kisses all the time when asked to
signs "all done" after meals.
plays peek a boo and loves to stack blocks.
plays peek a boo and loves to stack blocks.
when told to "go find mommy/daddy" he goes to the other room we're in.
knows when he's doing something he's not supposed to.
there's a cabinet i accidentally leave unlocked sometimes and at some point he'll find that it's open and once he hears me coming towards him he'll hurriedly stick his hands in the cabinet waving them frantically hoping to find something that falls out, hilarious.
definitely has some opinions these days.
if he's trying to get away from me like in church or people's houses and i stop him to redirect him,
he lets out a large yell in retaliation.
totally has fake laughs, fake frowns and fake cries.
that too is hilariously adorable.
i just love that child.
his smile is infectious.
have i mentioned he doesn't mind strangers at all.
not one bit.
he'll go into a new person's arms at the drop of a hat,
i love it.

his giggle empowers my adult funniness.

10/12ths of a year
by warmly welcoming the month of october into our year we also say hello 10 month old maxson!
eek!
the phrase babies don't keep is unbelievably true.
i'll be calling him my baby until my next baby even though he's at the verge of his "baby" days.
wahhhhh.
he's a speedy fast crawler.
loves getting into things:
baskets,
cupboards,
drawers,
bags,
etc.
nothing on the ground level is safe.
it's really fun watching him explore though and figure things out
it's really fun watching him explore though and figure things out
he's a pretty vocal baby.
loud when he's happy.
and loud when he's not so happy.
it just makes us laugh.
my favorite is when he's really enjoying his food, he'll smack his lips together during every bite and in between every bite with a very audible "nom, nom, nom"

he's getting his balance under control so well and it's truly incredible to watch.
one day in september he finally just started balancing hands free!
he'll bounce up and down, catch his balance by wobbling back and forth and eventually fall abruptly or softly kneel down or lunge toward mom/dad.
such a cutie pie.
with that balance has come playing with toys on his knees, makes him seem so grown up i tell ya!

always a great little eater.
he eats 3 meals a day along with nursing.
he eats 3 meals a day along with nursing.
he eats pretty much whatever we're eating which is convenient.
i think his favorite thing right now is mandarin oranges.
he would probably eat a whole can if i let him.
in 1 month's time he popped 6 teeth through.
what a champ.
with those teeth coming through, he also decided the binki was not for him.
this was hard on everyone :(
i still haven't figured out a way to get him to go back to sleep if/when he wakes up in the middle of the night without nursing.
other than binki problems he's a good sleeper.
2 naps a day, sometimes short sometimes long.
i will probably always ask for my children to sleep in longer in the morning, but maybe i should just go to bed earlier.
he loves standing at the screen door opening to our front yard.
he stands there on his tippy toes, letting his eyes poke out and just watches the world.
his favorite objects include our phones.
he gets sooooo excited when he grabs ahold of one of our phones.
not completely sure why he loves it so much.
he facetimes on it but that's it.
maybe it's a sign we're on our phones too much...
he's become quite opinionated on objects in his possession that he really wants to play with.
not all things that get taken away are a big deal, but sometimes they are and his little mad, frustrated scream is and isn't so funny.
he's a super patient baby in the car, in the stroller, and in shopping carts.
i love getting to take him places with me.

everything still goes straight in his mouth.
he's definitely understanding us more when we ask him to not put things in his mouth though.

he's wearing 12-18 month clothes and some 24 month clothes.

mr maximus, WE LOVE YOU!!!!
ps- i'm still booking the mini sessions for this fall :)

9 months in. 9 months out.
such an easy going boy, he's the light of our lives.
here's what he's up to.
he's HUGE.
people always comment on what a big boy he his.
i'm constantly telling casey "you hold him, he's heavy!"
he's definitely giving my arms some muscles.
we love him though, and i'm so glad i don't need to worry about his growing one bit!
height: 29 1/2 in: 91%ile
weight: 21# 7 oz: 80%
head: 18 in: 50-75%

he's the such a speedy crawler.
his gimp crawl has turned into the real thing and he's a rockstar.
finds me all over the house.
he's constantly going up and up and up the stairs like no big thing (we keep working on the down part, haven't really given him the opportunity to practice by himself yet.)
his knees and tops of his feet have the sweetest little calluses from all of his crawling.
he waves hi and bye.
gives the biggest open mouthed kisses to mom and dad and maybe if someone is really lucky a friend when asked to
will give you high 5.
is the best little eater.
he eats pretty much 3 meals a day, because if you're eating food he's sure he needs to be eating your food too.
still is great at eating baby food but we've also been giving him finger food even though he doesn't really have any teeth.
at this point i feel like he does pretty well at gumming things.
i think his favorite is mandarin oranges for sure.
but he's also great at pastas, tomatoes, peas, beans, and other little soft random foods we can get for him.
but sometimes he starts blubbering his tongue and lips and all his food comes spitting out, cute for a couple weeks, still cute but i just want him to eat it, ha.
so i think he's beginning to get to the point where he's enjoying picking up food to feed himself instead of me feeding him.
we'll see.
he doesn't have any teeth yet but he's OFFICIALLY working on 6 right now.
we can feel little sharp bumps on the top and bottom of his gums as well as see the tiniest of things working their way out.
the top were the first things to start coming through, now his two little bottoms with the top outside ones!
no official teeth out to help but they're coming, they're coming.
has come to really love his binki.
in the past month with all our vacationing he ended up having his binki in his mouth more than ever before (mostly to help quiet him around others who may prefer not to hear his constant noises).
so now whenever he sees or finds a binki it pops right in his mouth and he love love loves sucking away.
i personally only like him to have it when he's going to bed/in bed or maybe if he's just really sad but oh well, he's only a baby once ;)
he's become really playful and interactive the past month.
when you tell him in a playful voice that "i'm gonna get maxson!" he gets a huge smile on his face, hiccup-laughs, turns and crawls away as fast as he can!
he's just the sweetest and so playful.
says lots of sounds, our favorites being mama (a favorite of his) and dada (a recent of his).
everyone always comments how blue his eyes are and how blonde his hair is.
which is true, his eyes are quite the dreamy blue and his hair a white blonde.
he's the best little companion to bring places.
he's perfectly content in the shopping cart whenever we're new places.
he rarely ever fusses when we're out and about making him such the little dream baby.
his sleep habits have become beautiful lately.
2 solid hour and a half plus naps a day.
he goes down between 8 and 9 waking sometime between 6 and 8.
although his morning wake up time is never consistent, he goes with the flow of the day just dandy making it all well.
still working on the sleeping in part (although labor day i had to wake him up at 8:20! hooray!)
we're still doing cloth diapers and loving it.
i'm hoping to write a post about that soon.
and he still poops on the toilet 90% of the time which is fantastic for all of us.
he's turning into quite the little boy and we love him so so much!

the mr maxson at 8 months old
what he's up to.

*all this info/pictures were written aug 1, i've just been too lazy to actually post this*
crazy how just 2 weeks later there's already new things to add!
also, there will be a plethora/overwhelming amount of pictures in the coming week about the beach/maxson so we decided these few quick ones we got in the hotel in CA at the last minute will suffice for his 8 month blog post ;)
CRAWLING.
lots.
he follows me everywhere, and it's just adorable.
pulling himself up on everything.
there will be times i'm just sitting somewhere and suddenly his heads just pokes up as he struggles to pull the rest of himself up too.
i love having that baby around
he's started connecting his consonants to his vowels
lucky for me, the most distinct/said one is mmmmmamamama,
MELTS MY HEART!!!!

MELTS MY HEART!!!!
still is a diehard for facetiming.
the screen comes on and he's all smiles.
it's impressive how much he responds to this 2D object of people.
i've said this about a million times before but i'm so grateful for the convenience of technology.
it makes it feel like mine and casey's parents/sibling get to be apart of each other's loves on a daily basis even those we're hundreds and hundreds of miles away!
he's a foodie.
he loves food.
i've mostly only given him pureed food but slowly we're introducing chunkier foods, even though he doesn't have teeth yet.
he's awesome an gnawing his food away though.
he's quite the loud eater.
if you're not fast enough. HE. WILL. LET. YOU. KNOW.
his little pincer grasp is coming along beautifully.
other than picking up everything off the floor that i can barely tell is there to put in his mouth, he keeps getting better at putting those little puffs in his mouth.
sometimes he misses/can't get the puff all the way in, it's cute to watch.
he's an AWESOME shopping buddy.
he's all over at being out and about and is so content with the new place/people we're around.
i actually love getting to take him to do errands with me.
changing diapers is like a little WWF match.
that kid is quite the twister, it's impressive.
we're at 2 naps a day each ranging from about 1 1/2-2 hours each.
and within the last week he's decided that he's much too old for sticking to a predictable schedule for staying awake for 2 hours and the bed repeat.
his time awake ranges from 2-3 hours awake

7 month update
7 months, here we are
now EVEN CLOSER to a year and EVEN FARTHER from being a newborn, tear
what this little one is doing!
CRAWLING.
he's constant, and can sure go when he wants to.
definition of want to:
there's a piece of paper/plastic/computer chord on the ground.
iPad/iPhone/computer on the ground.
momma is not playing with him and he needs to find her.
but we LOVE it!
as of Sunday he also decided that he can pull himself up anything
definition of anything:
exersaucer.
people.
other babies.
unstable toys.
laundry baskets.
luckily we lowered his crib saturday afternoon in thoughts that he may be getting there soon.
stairs.
he's also thinking he can conquer stairs and steps,
he's made it onto the big first landing by himself of our stairs but can't quite figure out the rest of them.
looks like we're going to be spending a lot of time there over the next while
eating.
he's always been a great nurser,
but now he's up to 2-3 servings of baby food with oatmeal in them 1-2 times a day.
he's loved everything we've given him thus far.
he does gag if you put bits of food in his mouth like a puff or small piece of banana,
but we'll get there.
sometimes i use this food mill (that i found at a garage sale) to smash up some of the already soft stuff we eat that he can have like bananas, avocado, green beans, peas, blueberries, etc.

toys.
oh he loves exploring toys and all things are toys to him.
i won't diminish the importance of real baby/kid toys because that's what he mostly plays with.
but truly all things are new and exciting to him so my sunglasses, wallet, random kitchen item, etc are all great toys.
he does not segregate.
moaning.
he has continued on the tradition of moaning maxson.
he's a great little moaner
and a great non crier.
i would take his small sweet moans over his real cries any day and i honestly haven't heard a real cry from him a a long time it seems.
he was probably moaning in this picture on the right, he bites in his lower lip and MOANS away

he seems to have found his tongue and has it out a lot more often, as evidenced by all the pictures on here with his tongue out.
seriously it's ALWAYS out these days!
pretty cute.

pretty cute.
still spitting with his tongue/blubbering his lips.
it's so fun to do it back at him.
he totally has the head shaking no method down.
i'm absolutely sure it's just a developmental thing and not a i'm-telling-you-no thing.
it's funny how we've been conditioned our whole lives that head shaking back and forth horizontally means no and so when he does it i 100% automatically think he's telling me "no i don't want that song, no i don't want that toy, no i don't want that food" but i KNOW he doesn't know that.
but it's so hard to not assume he's giving me a preference when he does it.
he loves facetiming.
as soon as he hears the ringing and sees his face on the screen he gets so happy and smiles real big at himself.
he smiles much more easily now for family on the screen while he watches them.
like i mentioned earlier, i often have the iPad or iPhone on the floor when we're chatting with family so they can see him crawl/so he can have motivation to crawl and he goes with such determination to get that screen.
but poor guy, as soon as he reaches it, i move it to the other side of the room to make him keep crawling.
his sleeping is still getting better and better.
he goes down in the crib, by himself, awake, cuddling the little BYU sock monkey, with nearly no complaints/crying, it's sooooooo nice.
and he OFFICIALLY slept through the night once last week, a full 10 hours, of uninterrupted parent sleep.
probably one of the highlights of june for me.
i realized it was the first time in about 14 months i did not once get out of my bed all night long.
WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.
hopefully he can get the sleeping through the night stuff down by himself soon because oh that was nice.
he mostly varies from sleeping a 7-8 hour stretch and then another 2-3 hour stretch waking up around 8 to start the day!
i'm looking forward to the day when he begins to help hold his weight on my hip by holding on with his legs.
right now he just hangs out like dead weight leaning back way far like a chilled out gangster,
it's strange when you look at him and realize just how far he's leaning back, silly baby.

can i just say how HARD it was to capture a majority of these pictures?
for every 1 good, in focus picture there at least 10 blurry ones
most these pictures were done in just 5 minutes on different days because he wants to be on the move at all times.
now that he's crawling, ooy, he just moves as soon as i put him down!
tried my hardest to get a picture of him just sitting by the BYU monkey and as soon as casey let go, he was off!
he's quite the wiggle worm but we love it dearly!

happy 7 months maximus!
