Twinsies: 6 months

QB
Quinners!
Bryson!
Biggest visible change is how much they want to grab everything! Hair, food, phones, toys, objects, faces, the list goes on. So now when we hold them during dinner it's not nearly as easy as it once was!

Giggling, smiling, talking like crazy

Love chewing on all things toys. Great at grabbing for things and going to town on them.

Pushing up really high to an arched position when on their tummy

Rolling both ways (they both started around 5 1/2 months continually rolling, neither have done tummy to back more than 5 times though). WIth the rolling comes the slight scooting in each direction with their tummies staying in the same place,

Starting to enjoy and not enjoy things. For instance Bryson loves  give open mouthed kisses and gets overly excited when you play that with him but does not want to do the balance standing on casey's hands though and goes totally limp. Quinn loves balance standing on casey's hands on the other hand

Both always hold their bottles completely by themselves, hallelujah. That has seriously freed up my time like crazy, I can daily eat breakfast now before they take their first nap!!!!

Speaking of bottles they both get intensely happy when they see you shaking their bottles getting them ready for the boys to eat. Crying usually subsides, arms and legs begin flapping like crazy. It's really cute.

I don't know how much they're really aware of each other but they do interact with each other just looking and smiling at one another, grabbing faces, rolling on one another, taking toys, it's super duper cute. They're beginning to cry when one is touching the other too much, ha.

Take about 3 naps a day usually 2 one and a half hour ones and another 45 minute one. Go down always by themselves, and don't really use the binky at all, just immediately spit it out. At night they sleep from about 7/8 pm-6:30/7:30 am with one wake up to eat at around 5. At the beginning of April we spent about a week "CIO" because they were waking up way too often and insisted on being fed and I was so dang exhausted something had to give. I think they must have done it fairly easy of waking up and crying for probably less than 15 minutes each and just went back to sleep. Casey and I slept in our family room for about 4-5 days and they were good. I can't quite get them past that last wake up time since it's pretty close to start the day timeI just feed them, hopefully with the coming months of more food they will sleep longer at night.

They're not swaddled anymore, transitioned them to sleep sacks this month which wasn't super bad. I do put their stuffed animal in their bed to hug and squeeze onto which I think helps them.

I nurse them after every nap and before bed and that pesky 4-5 am time and then 4 oz formula after each feeding (except the 4 am one)

But we have started solids in the past couple weeks just here and there for funsies. They're actually super eager to eat more and more and more food. It's me just not wanting to take the time and effort to feed them! The times I have fed them it just takes so much time and effort and I am selfish.

We've really been practicing with them sitting. Now they can actually balance for a second or two without immediately falling over which is a really fun site to see!

Bryson:
Height 27.2 in   72%ile
weight 18#4 oz    64%ile

Quinn
Height 27 in    64%ile
weight 18#1 oz   61%ile

(Bryson's head is a little bigger than Quinn's, just like all the other amounts, didn't get the numbers,, but they're both around 50% for head)

Now for pictures!!!!!! We took these during Maxson's nap time so sadly he's not in any :( And our bff neighbor helped us too with them, thanks, Kaite!

Bryson's face was too funny not to save.
Bryson is in the light blue and Quinn in the dark blue! These were our first "twin boy" outfit-gifts we received from our bother and SIL, Cody and Camille!

6 months vs 2 weeks!

This first picture of Casey, is to show how awkward it gets holding twins or trying to get situated with twins. It can be quite the juggle at times.
My turn for awkward picture with twins.

This is Bryson's excited face in between giving you kisses, I lurve it.
2 weeks.
vs 6 months!

Oh man how I love my babies!!!!!!!!!!!

Legit family IN Nebraska

How extremely lucky we are that some of our extended family moved to Nebraska! And not just Nebraska but even in our stake! Granted, they are still an hour and a half away BUT nevertheless we have family in Nebraksa that we'll get to see on occasion! Evan and Nicole along with their kids are such a fun family and group to hang around, we couldn't be more thrilled with Heavenly Father's choice of which cousins to bring near to us, ha. They visited us a few weekends back and so naturally we wanted to come visit their place too! We mostly just chilled in the backyard letting the kids run wild (literally, Max seemed to run everywhere and was wild indeed). I loved hearing all their future remodeling plans they have for the house, we're lucky to be front row audience to watch the progress!

The Kelloggs served up a delicious meal of rainbow shish kabobs, grilled pineapple, homemade lemonade and homemade ice cream. It was a wonderful afternoon indeed with them!!!

Our game of croquet was thoroughly/constantly/consistently interrupted by a certain someone needed to pick up and run away with EVER ball once we hit them...

Of course at one point during dinner all the children decided they needed to be held at the same time, go figure.

Thanks for having us!!!!!!!

Triple stroller LOVE

Let me just tell you how insanely STOKED I am over this stroller. Did I need it? Nope. Did I want it really bad? Yip. I've been keeping my eye on various craigslist areas/states to see if a good one popped up. There's been a few in the Arizona area but they never worked out. I just happened to look in the Omaha area the day a lady put this one up! What are the chances? Luckily I emailed her first because there were people behind me in line, we got it for a great price, and it's in great shape. I love it oh so much because now I can go on walks and all three children will be strapped in. I can actually go on a walk as a break for myself and entertainment for the kids since I won't be battling Max to stand or walk or run or hold my hand, he has to stay put. AND I can go jogging with it! So therefor I can workout outside while the kids are awake and not just during their precious nap time! It's insanely heavy (45 lbs by itself plus 3 kids) so it'll boost my workout, wahoo!) It's kinda hysterically wide. I have to jump up and put all my weight on the bars to pop up the front wheels to turn it. But other than those cons it's a stinking beast and so awesome. I can't wait to take it out more often!!!!!

Casey brought it home but the babies were sleeping and Max was uncooperative so I borrowed my neighbor's cute kids for a test run picture, haha.

That's more like it.
It's also a good resting place for our 3 babies to be while we hang out outside.
We took it out for its inaugural spin on Monday and I was super pumped for it. I think Maxson greatly enjoyed finally having a seat to sit in after so many months of literally never having one. He climbed right in so eagerly and loved having the babies next to him and then of course had the hugest tantrum when we came home because he, shockingly, wanted to keep going. We just went on a quick super little walk and the one up hill there was BUSTED MY BUTT. I'd say pushing these is about 120 lbs. I felt like one of the football players pushing those huge heavy cement things during a football practice while going up a hill. I'd be lying if I said my butt, thighs, and calves weren't burning at the top, ha.

Family activities lately

Casey presenting his research project.
a. Cutest little bath time picture ever. His nakie bum makes it even cuter, too bad you can't see it
b. This is the first time since probably the first month of their lives that I held a baby while they slept. It felt so good to cuddle my sweet Quinners. So so so great to just cuddle and hold him!
Surprised Casey when we met him at school! Introduced the babies to a bunch of the staff who had heard about them.
Brother loving. Max thinks it's the best when we hold the babies arms out as if they're asking him for a hug, he can't resist, it's darling.
Look at super brother Max holding 2 babies bottles. I just laugh looking at this, so awesome
 Working on who knows what.
Max is constantly getting in the babies' toys: bouncers, bumbos, not the exersaucer yet though.
 a. More walking. This time in puddles
b. KEY UTE babies! QB
Breakfast multi tasking: scriptures (for both boys, Max wanted to be like Casey), babies, and eating.
Warm enough to play with water outside! And boy oh boy that water attracts ALL the children to come play! We're going to miss the Tibbits and Christophersons once they move in the spring, cue tear trickling down my face.
 Family home evening kickball.
Grateful for a mother who taught me to so greatly appreciate sunsets! They're far and few times seen from where we are in Lincoln so this was a happy site for me!
Impromptu outside dinner with friends. I'm really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really join to miss this family :(
