Casey Post #4 BYU VS ST MARY'S

BYU Vs. ST MARY's: This game had to be the worst officiated game I have ever seen in history, even worse than some of my high school games when we played on the road in freezing Wyoming. I wouldn’t say BYU played amazing, they played pretty bad too, but I believe the Refs never allowed them to sustain anything throughout the game. This statement about the game was hilarious because it was so true, "it's not easy to make 22,000 mormons upset, but that's what happened tonight."-KSLradio. They have it spot on I mean when 22,000 LDS people start throwing things onto the floor multiple times that caused a technical foul to be called on BYU form their fans; the game has to be pretty bad. My dad came up for the event and I hope he enjoyed at least the food, we went out to Costa Vida and then the three of us went to the game. Dad stayed the night and attended church with us the next morning and I think it was the first time he had been to church here, and I think it brought him back to his younger years will all the couples holding hands and just showing PDA in church. We had a great weekend and I am glad my dad came because it is always fun to have family around.

Bball in the VEGAS!

This Guy somehow found some dip n dots, which is like an ice cream in pebble form. I love this food along with Bahama bucks, which is my favorite, but this is a great alternative when B.B is not around.
This is the crew who made the trek down to Vegas town for these awesome games! We totally have enjoyed the experience Friday by far has been the best day with the Men's night games. Insane! Derek, Dad, Mark (Uncle) and I
This Guy was sitting like 2 rows in front of us keeping track of the points til Jimmer beat Danny Ainge's record and he definitely did it scoring 52 points. He was lights out and I loved it. This was probably the most intense game I have been to it was AWESOME! P.s. the building was packed scalpers were selling tickets at those seats in the top for 150 a piece nuts huh!
I don't know how to use this blog stuff very well so I posted all our events with the pictures need less to say this has been an awesome experience and tomorrow should be awesome with the championship game and than we are going to walk down the strip to see all the lights at night so pretty fun huh!!!??? What are great weekend! I do miss my wife though so I will see her soon!

too much fun- times 2

and then saturday we spent all day in the SUN!
green river wy has these "days" called flaming gorge days.
it's kinda like where they city puts on all these fun events:
parade, concerts, sports, like a teeny tiney city fairish style but not a fair.
it's kinda a big deal i think :)
last year our visit fell on the same weekend!
and last year casey played in a 3 on 3 basketball tournament
and so this year we just had to keep the tradition alive!

we were incredibly more prepared though this time around!
LOTS of water, sunglasses, hats, sunscreen, folding chairs, snacks, lunch, and a book for myself to read between the hour and half breaks!

casey and his team did really well again this year and it was so fun watching him play!
and it was so fun to have the whole family there!
and this year not only did casey play b-ball, so did his brother derek (they actually played each other!) and his sis tayli played volleyball! so fun to be there with everyone!

the brothers
the team!
yes, my husband is awesome and wears ghetto cut off shirts for team unity :)
the devoted fans
the crowd at the volleyball park!
tayli's volleyball team
tay has the green/blue shirt
entertaining the little ones

then that night to wrap up theweek we had a fire in the backyard and watched the blindside out there! what a blast!
our seating arrangements:
chairs and the tramp with lots and lots of blankets and pop corn!

another weekend of dancing!

but this time way way more dancing!
it's the national dancesport ballroom competition weekend at BYU and it has felt like non stop competitions
i had noive standard, novice latin, prechamp latin, Gold 1 Foxtrot, and Gold bar Tango.
it was way fun though but  my partners and i did well for ourselves mostly
so much makeup, costumes, fake tanning, rhinestones, hair gel, etc, goodness haha
the ballroom bubble :)
i was excited to finally get to dance and do it all
but also excited for it to be over to have my time back to myself again!
casey has been so sweet, he went to all my competitions and was there cheering for me
it's so much easier and more fun to dance when you know at least one person in the huge audience at the marriot center is watching you and wanting you to do well,
things are just so much better when he is around
so far, the big things we've gotten to watch are amateur smooth, amateur standard, and the professinal showcase. all so amazingly disgusting
tonight we'll go back to watch amateur latin and cabaret, so fun:)

it's fun to watch with casey because he has been to enough comps where he most definitely has an opinoin on dancing: good and bad dancers, good and bad costumes, etc :) so fun

here's some pics!
the pretty (and ridiculously expensive) costumes for amateur standard
casey pretending to be my latin partner :)

gotta love ballroom, dance!

in between the dancing of the weekend casey had his first basketball game for the start of tournament- they had a very nice win, casey made bunches of points, i was a proud wife,
we started wacthing all the college basketball conference tournaments,
we took naps,
we played house (aka we finally cleaned up after all the mess dancesport made in our place [casey just has to leave all his makeup and nail polish everywhere goodness!]).

sunday could not come sooner:
relaxation time
family time
pure casey and kimber time :)

BYU intramurals- week 1

so this was our first week of the new intramural season up here at BYU!

Basketball: casey's team ravaged the poor, scrawny group of freshman boys. i felt so bad! no one likes to lose and it think it's worse when you lose by 40 points! yes, the score was 75 to 35. it was really fun to watch casey play though. i'm amazed how much i love to see him out there playing, laughing and having fun with his friends! there's a smile he has there on the court that just warms my heart :)(yes, precious and sappy i know) hey honey, how about more basketball, less video games? yeah? (i know just kidding casey, you don't really play them ever anymore...especially since they're all sold!) I was asked to be scorekeeper bc i'm the only weekly, dependable support that team has right now haha, but i'm not very good at it, maybe after 5 games i'll be better. it's good and bad doing it bc it makes me pay attention to the game the whole time, but then again, i can't pay attention to casey as much as i'd like or cheer on the team. oh well :) it was a good, rather funny, yet sad (for the other team),but definitely more funny game overall.

Intertube Waterpolo: yes we are on an intertube wateroplo team and totally stoked for it! we couldn't go tonight bc it was during casey's game. boo. but next time i will tell you all our crazy adventures!

Last of all, it is Tuesday night. have i mentioned why i don't tend to like tuesday night? well i'll tell. tue nights casey goes into work at 9:30 pm and gets out at 12:30 am. yes this means  i have to fall asleep alone :( boo. then he comes home, while i'm sleeping, and he goes to wake back up at 6:15 for work from 6:45 am- 2:00pm. yes, this also means i wake up alone. the loneliness does not end there folks. wed nights i don't see hime til 8 or 9 pm. boo yet again. so there it is, that's how we are separated for 24 hours of our week. oh, and yes, that's the end of my pitty party :)
