spring lied and crept back in its hole

in honor of toady's endless snow/rain/slush.
from gerneral conferce weekend's surprise downfall.
waking up that morning was the most beautiful, quiet, dreamy white wonderland i've seen.

dear dad, i had forgotten how much of an incredibly awesome persuasive writer you are, you rock

dear tangled, let's please set up a movie date soon?

dear tristan, one day you will like me (and the bottle i give you) i promise. feel better baby

dear plants, i love you. so much. even though my house isn't humid enough for you, will you stop wilting? please oh please?

dear casey, your tooth you carved tonight looks wonderful! won't it be fun when you're a real dentist someday and a machine carves it for you? oh the irony...

general conference

general conference was beyond wonderful this april!
it's always wonderful, let's be honest.
we were fortunate enough to have the cutlers in town with us which made it that much more wonderful.
the 7 of us got to go the sunday morning session together which also included music and the spoken word (beautiful as always {casey and i decided that mack wilberg must love his job}).
the speakers were wonderful and the music was incredible.
the mormon tabernacle choir's last song was The Spirit of God, and i doubt there was a dry eye in the conference center.
i have burned that memory and those feelings i had into my heart to remember forever.
many of the stories told and words spoken really hit me and i became very emotional,
i feel so renewed and am greatly reminded that i can do more to help strengthen His Kingdom on earth

so if you live utah, you'd know that saturday was in the 70's and was beyond heavenly:
utterly gorgeous weather.
then waking up on sunday there was like 3 inches of snow outside!
yah, bi-polar utah!
it was freezing on sunday,
the snow was so pretty though!
PhotobucketPhotobucket

we're super cool and arrived at like the last minute possible which means the most very back row of seats possible.
we're awesome like that

walking back to the car, we walked through temple square really quick,
and saw this sign,
and boy were they true!
ICE was falling!!!
Photobucket

i feel so very fortunate to be able to go to the conference center to watch and listen to general conference.
it's so surreal being in the same "room" as the prophet and apostles!
i love and admire those men with all my heart.
i wish conference was every 3 months instead of 6!

april fools

don't you like that the first thing he says he's mad about is that he "just put on new clothes?"

casey didn't like it so much at that moment, nor even 10 minutes later
but 15 minutes later when he watched the video, he laughed too :)

what a cute guy eh?

early spring

march 21= spring
march 31= spring
i do believe i'm correct when i say the 1st day of real spring occurred yesterday, March 31.
it was wonderful.
perfect 60 degree temperature while being able to feel the rays of the hot sun.
i loved it and am so excited for summer!

but, onto what life has been like lately:
1.) we babysat this cutie-patootie the other day.
loved every moment
Photobucket
Photobucket
she's quite funny if i do say so myself.
we also pretended to be a real family.
casey pushed abby in the jogging stroller and i had their dog on a leash and we went for a run!
it was such a fun memory to pretend what life would be like someday.
we also fed her dinner.
no words needed.
Photobucket

2.) one night we also played with our other little nephew and watched the movie despicable me.
we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
and the dogs thoroughly enojoyed having casey over as usual.
the middle picture is so father like son, huh? i promise they both usually don't look this grumpy

3.) we had quite the lovely spring day on sunday too (not as nice as march 31, but still great)
we took a walk and basked in the spring weather.
Photobucket
Photobucket
casey just loved my hat so much, he couldn't resist wearing it even inside
4.) have i mentioned how we have a bazillion plants around my house lately?
literally, a ton.
and i just keep getting more ever week, but i love it!
these plants are dry hot loving (aka az) plants!
i really do love the way they look.
Photobucket

5.) did you know casey is in a floral design class?
yes, he is, and it's very fun for me!
this past week he made a wedding bouquet and little centerpiece.
he said one day he's going to open his own floral shop he loves it so much... ;)
