a little bit more of lately.

get togethers.

in the last 2 weeks i've had FOUR get togethers with some awesome friends!

1) freshman girls get together.

i love my freshman year, and i still love those girls very much!

it was so wonderful to catch up!

2) ward baby shower for stephanie and brooke, in our ward,

we have such a great group of ward girls, i just love it.

are pictures of the food good enough?

3) a bridal shower for my dear friend brooke! 

such a cute girl and so happy she's getting married soon!

4) aspen grove girls get together.

mainly the cooks and andy, actually.

one of the best summers of my life and so wonderful to catch up on life with these girls!
mrs. lindsay even has a baby due in august!

- on sunday, casey made the most amazing egg sandwich.

layers of eggs, sausage and bacon on a bagel.

we have been so lucky to see many of these nieces and nephews just hours after being born.

LAST DAY OF CLASSES AT BYU.
1 week of finals until we can be officially done, yay(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)!

the week

what a week it has been!

we are officially done with classes and have just 4 days of finals remaining.

at least i have finals remaining.

but only monday and tuesday!

casey somehow has no finals and pretty much has not had class the last week and a half.

lucky lil boy.

we've been working our tails off at work too.

we started the adventure of packing up the apartment, wooo. 

but we've been taking breaks as needed, at least i have, ha.

i went to lunch with some of the girl's i work with.

i got together with a few other girls in the ward for a girl's night where just chatted away.

i spontaneously met up with 3 other girls i worked with while at aspen grove (AG).
those girls are such a delight,
they bring back great memories of that summer.
the next day 3 of the 4 of us met up yet again for a little frozen yogurt.
one is now engaged, as of a month ago, so we had a lot of catching up to do :)

and together casey and i were able to get together with some of his mission people,
which was a blast. the smith's, who opened their home to us, were so so sweet.
we had the infamous "spud burgers" with flaming sundaes to finish it up!

we also got together with a few people in the ward for a tiny little bbq.
the weather was incredible and i could not soak it in enough!
i love the warmth of the sun,walking around with no shoes on the grass and cement, the smell of the bbq, needing sunglasses bc the sun is so bright, and just sitting in the grass with friends.
it was just so wonderful!




thank you summer for finally coming!!

btw- i'm kinda obsessed with all these trees blossoming.
they are the most beautifully, joyous things that utah has to claim.
when casey and i are driving around provo i'm constantly mentioning to him, "we are so lucky to live here, it is so pretty!"
every time he agrees too, we really are so blessed to live in such a beautiful place during our college years!

early spring

march 21= spring

march 31= spring

i do believe i'm correct when i say the 1st day of real spring occurred yesterday, March 31.

it was wonderful.

perfect 60 degree temperature while being able to feel the rays of the hot sun.

i loved it and am so excited for summer!

but, onto what life has been like lately:

1.) we babysat this cutie-patootie the other day.

loved every moment

she's quite funny if i do say so myself.

we also pretended to be a real family.

casey pushed abby in the jogging stroller and i had their dog on a leash and we went for a run!

it was such a fun memory to pretend what life would be like someday.

we also fed her dinner.

no words needed.

2.) one night we also played with our other little nephew and watched the movie despicable me.

we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

and the dogs thoroughly enojoyed having casey over as usual.

3.) we had quite the lovely spring day on sunday too (not as nice as march 31, but still great)

we took a walk and basked in the spring weather.

casey just loved my hat so much, he couldn't resist wearing it even inside

4.) have i mentioned how we have a bazillion plants around my house lately?

literally, a ton.

and i just keep getting more ever week, but i love it!

these plants are dry hot loving (aka az) plants!

i really do love the way they look.

5.) did you know casey is in a floral design class?

yes, he is, and it's very fun for me!

this past week he made a wedding bouquet and little centerpiece.
he said one day he's going to open his own floral shop he loves it so much... ;)

indecisive weather

it snows,

it melts,

it snows,

it melts,

it rains and freezes,

oh yeah,

then it melts and goes back to

snowing, melting, snowing, melting for a bunch more weeks.

wake up utah weather!

it's spring!

stop doing that to us!

i want the tulips to be in full bloom before we leave!

poor little tulips won't make it very far if you keep doing that!

the weekend

played rockband and finally  didn't have the neighbors tell us to be quiet
casey and i worked lots at AG (wife) and the library (husband)
printed out our wedding pictures and hung them up! yay!
watched lots of basketball games (i'm still beating casey:)
i was inspired to make my skin oober healthy and
i learned what my face shape really is, what to do with my hair because of my face shape and what side of my face is my better side, haha, no really it was way cool!
made a cute headband
played my absolute favorite game ever with some friends (catchphrase! that game will never get old to me)
had a wonderful stake conference with elder hinckley presiding
listened to beautiful. uplifiting words from various speakers who truly showed their love
made yummy chocolate chip banana bread
finally made dinner for some of my siblings (got to have cute little abby with us too!)

so yes, that was our weekend :)

warm weather is upon us and i'm so so so happy!

so excited for this semester to be over,

not that i don't enjoy my classes,

more like i just want a break and something new!

today is the eighteenth day of march, 2010

i am so tired 

i was like a walking zombie this morning

i think it's funny that professors have to wear nice clothes and students wear yucky sweats

i saw the first bloomed daffodil today, that makes me happy

i want to wear flip flops but i don't want to chance my toesies getting chilly

i would really like my own puppy or kitty right now

i am watching a lot of basketball right now not completely by choice :)

i love byu

i am excited for general conference

i think it's funny that so many utah people keep christmas lights up for like ever it seems
i want new curtains
i think i ate most of the girl scout samoa cookies...bad tempting/yummy/expensive girl scouts

i need to go do my landscape design project, boo

i am wishing so bad i was in hawaii with all my cousins, no fair and so jealous

i miss all my freshman girls

i want my mom and annalee come visit in april (everyone else in AZ would be nice to see to)

i badly need to go the gym sometime asap

i really need my hair cut,

i want to color it but i'm too scared

i am in dire need of new clothes please please oh please casey

i need/want summer to come

i need that school break

i think bananas should be on every breakfast food, it makes them so yummier!

i am not going to do accounting, i should but i don't want to

i love love love chocolate milk and horde too much of it

i was happy for the over abundance of green yesterday we also had green milk yesterday :)

hopefully the eighteenth of march will end happy like it started :)
