we did it

casey and i registered for our last semester of classes at BYU a few days ago!
actually casey signed up for both our classes bc i wanted to go to bed early, ha.
you'd think being seniors we'd get all the classes we want, no problem?
WRONG.
our lives will go on but still, we wanted those classes at those times!
some tricks we have thrown in the bag for this semester:
i'm currently registered for a sewing class,
i hear it's pretty intense (8 hours a week!!) but hopefully it'll be fun.
i'm also trying to get into the flexibility class bc i hear it's pretty good (that was the one that was full for me, insert mean word about someone else here)
casey, on the other hand doesn't have such fun ones.
20 credits of legit, hard classes, crazy guy!!!
but he does have an extra credit to "spend" so we're trying to find a fun class for him!
we hear there's a wood working class offered somewhere on campus?
if you happen to know what the class is, sharing would be greatly appreciated!

other than that we pretty normal over here.
have a fun weekend!

ps- don't forget when carving your pumpkin, use a canning jar lid to scrape out the insides, it's WAY easier!

my major rocks.

proof:
last week for our plants diagnostics class (aka memorize weeds, insects, diseases...oh wait i'm so ahead of that game!) we drove an hour away to the church farms in delta, ut to do some disease research on their corn crops. our caravan consisted of four 12 passenger vans. i was the front van with our professor. after we began the 10 minute off-roading excursion to the crop, one of the vans got stuck in a big old patch of mud. so everyone, including our professor, got out and started pushing that thing out, ha. took us like 15 minutes to get it out, but it sure brought some laughter. but really, all our professors are so awesome, down to earth, great people, who really have a passion for what they're teaching and love the students. i know this may seem odd, but i truly have a testimony of byu. no where else, can you begin class with a prayer, have your professor relate academic studies to gospel principles during a lecture, or have your professor openly talk about his mission to the whole class. i love byu.

secondly, i'm in the landscape management presidency and it rocks.
the people rock.
we have a blast together.
one of our presidency members is missing here, but oh well :)
if you're in slight contemplation of choosing a major, look at ours, it's the best.
plus, our professors are superb at networking for us and everyone graduates with a job who wants one.
the people are all just so great in the industry.
Photobucket
the above picture is us all laughing.
why are we laughing?
charley (bald guy) and i were arguing in the picture before this and then we all laughed how the picture before this one would actually look like we're arguing, oh goodness...

lastly, the LM students have the wonderful priviledge to clean one section of the football stadium after football games.
as horrible as it sounds, it actually is fun with everyone.
everyone works so hard and we laugh and have a ball together.
plus, there's always great food afterward.
it's just dandy.

but next time you go to a byu football game, pick up yo trash people!

peace out.

another reason why it's great to be going to BYU

you know what's awesome about going to BYU?
there's free food somewhere nearly always.
you just have to make and effort to stand in the really long lines for it.
well we finally did, ha.
the business school had their "opening social" (and bc i'm a business minor i was technically invited:)

we went.
we ate. (insert how much we heart j-dawgs, snow cones, and cotton candy here).
we conquered.

snaps for the marriot school of business.

(i hope you all enjoy the top right pic of me stuffing my boca:)

my advice to anyone at BYU or wanting to go to BYU:
make the effort to participate in the free things on campus bc it won't last for long.
and they end up being fun.

ps- we saw the cutest 2 year old boy running around the field aka it looked like our future child:
platinum blonde hair.
BYU football jersey.
running with a little football.
it kinda melted our hearts.

**plans for our staurday**
collecting our bountiful basket.
going to a baby shower.
tailgate with the ward.
BYU v UTAH football game!

happy saturday!

1st day back

it's only the 1st day back at school and it's been bizzy bizzy bizzy!
i worked at the library from 6:30-10:30 am and it was so stinkin busy!
this is only a little bit of what happened:

-like a billion alarms going off
-the digital locks going crazy so we were getting calls like crazy to manually unlock things
-10 times the amount of books being turned in as normal bc of the break
-construction crews coming in at areas they shouldn't
-friends making surprise appearances when i'm least expecting them
-phone calls that have nothing to do with library security but get transferred to me
-trying to rotate work shifts for the rest of the semester which equals like a 1000 emails

oh the joys of getting used to work again

on the flip side, i only had 1 class (one that wasted my time at that too)
but i rode my bike to it
my bike that had ICE all over the spokes!
yes folks! look close at those spokes, ICE!
i had to break off icicles so my tire could even move!
i'm not complaining, it's sometimes fun to live in this cold area :)

and on another note, it was this guy's birthday yesterday!
(the big one, not the small one:)
happy birthday brad/dad c!

coming to the end

wow.

right now we (i) are in the middle of:
packing up the apartment.
packing for the summer which means having to pack away most my clothes and having to rally decide exactly what i need and am going to wear during the summer...tear.
trying to get rid of clothes i tell myself i wear but that i really don't.
finals.
trying to eat up our pantry.
trying to talk my sister in law to not having her baby before i get to az.
cleaning the house to sparkling clean.
and my wonderful friend pandora is with me all the way making sure good music is playing

all this and the weather outside is heavenly.
goodness

i remember freshman year i pretty much packed up all my stuff and cleaned the night before i left to az.
granted i only got 2 hours of sleep that night
funny how when you get married your stuff more than quadruples
i can't imagine how much more stuff i'll have when there's kiddos around!

there's tickets from phoenix to hawaii for $118 dollars each way with hawaiin air
yes miss jenny i'm thinking of you and your offer!
which totaly 256 after taxes.
my heart aches to buy those tickets and spontaneously go to hawaii between the break of school and work
but...
there's more things that are important in life right now
but that doesn't mean hawaii is out of question for the year :)

my back hurts
boo

i'm making cupcakes at the moment
yay
to help eat up our pantry
too bad they won't be as yummy as the cupcake cafe
which a lovely miss dyer now works at! so excited and jealous of her! i plan on visitng on monday to celebrate the summer, any AGers are welcome!

i'm just so happy to have reached finals!
classes are nearly done!
summer is nearly here!
just a few more days!

my affair with the library and english class.

I calculated it out, and 16 of the last 24 hours,
i spent in the library working on ONE retarded English project.
Yeah, I pretty much wanted to cry

Yesterday I was in the library from 8-5 straight working on it

note to self: stop procrastinating

a night of mourning

tomorrow (Wednesday 11/11 [ironic date for the amount of stress for it eh?])will be death for me:

7 am- get my toosh out of bed and get ready for the day
8 am- dance class
9 am- Net testament
10 am- team dance class
11 am- dance class (at 11:11 am I will make the 1st ultimate wish of the day)
12 pm- american heritage
1 pm- marriage enhancement class
2 pm- lunch with cousin from far away
3 pm- dance practice
4 pm- biology class
5 pm- go to the testing center and take my mean american heritage test that I will stay up all night studying for tonight- literally, all night
6 pm- testing center continued
7 pm- still testing center- my bum will probably be numb by then and I will be hating America and Dr. Pulsipher (ok, maybe not the America part)
8 pm- meet for a RE-DRAFTING of a group project that's absolutely stressful
9 pm- re-drafting continued
10 pm- STILL re-drafting our dang paper to perfection (although it will still get a B no matter how we write it or what we write about)
11 pm- go home and study for New Testament test with Casey (at 11:11 pm will be the second ultimate wish of the day [my most favorite person will be with me on this one!])
11:59 pm- a quick kiss good night

Thursday will also be slightly deathful:

7 am- dance practice
8 am- come back home and get ready for the day
9 am- health center class- because I don't know how to be married
10 am- health center class cont
11 am- health center class cont
12 pm- go take New Testament test
1 pm- FAMILY GETS IN TOWN! (tentatively)
it gets mushy right here, but all I know is that I'll be pretty dang busy with fam and temple stuff shopping- this part will actually be a good part
5 pm- meet with Eng group to start a NEW super fun Englsih project that I'll most likely come to not love so much :)

But I'm excited for the days after Thursday, I'll have my ballroom competition all weekend long and I get to go through the temple for the 1st time! It will be a wonderful weekend of family, the temple (which I'm so happy for), and dancing!

PS- 11 more days :)

happiness

These pictures simply make me h.a.p.p.y.
September: you have been lovely

Yes mom, another polaroid picture :)

and everyone please note, casey's large and in charge backpack weighs
30 pounds at LEAST!
no exaggeration.
