remember when we went to california?
yeah, ok let's do more of that trip :)
1. while at casey's reunion we went to a most wonderful local production of the wizard of oz, it was splendid and cold and we all loved it so much!
2. casey's licked through 1 whole huge jaw breaker. it was huge, people. it took him a couple weeks i think...eww. he was proud
3. the beautiful whitney holding maxson while we played croquet at my mom's cousin's house
4. that cousin has the COOLEST old school VW that he's restoring. so fun!

1. those sunglasses lasted .5 seconds

3. saw a beach reserve that had tiny crabs running everywhere
3. my dad makes THE best hot chocolate. he's seriously killer at it. casey added the biggest marshmallow ever to it

1. when we stayed at the hotel in california with casey's family, we were in 1 huge room with 7 adults and 1 baby. maxson decided wake up time was 5:30, so we went into the hall and played for an hour and a half :/

4. found a bunch of tiny objects at my mom's house to make an i spy bag with

1. just a school bus with flames on it on the side of someone's house in nebraska, no big deal
2. back in the land of green and corn for our walks
3. sometimes we juice things, sometimes we smoothie things
4. our group of softball friends during lunch break

1. a typical sunday in elder's quorum: 4 babies sitting and playing amidst each other
2. falling asleep after church
3. the actual dinner part of our back to school feast: spud burgers
4. nebraskan sunset

a typical day at home:
1. helping with laundry
2. climbing the stairs
3. eating
4. playing with toys

1. first day of year 2 of dental school. maxson woke up oober early so we rode to school with casey and dropped him off remember his first day a year ago??? (that red and black bike behind him was the stolen one)
2. real dentist fun at school finally
3. the twinsies and maxson
4. the biggest nebraska flag ever randomly flying over a gas station

1. & 2. splash pad with friends. maxson could not have cared less
3. german pancake breakfast (to lift our spirits after our bikes being stolen that morning)
4. out on a bike ride, he finally got a helmet! it's adjustable so it fits his head really well and will continue to fit perfectly as he grows

1. the flowers are beginning to bloom again on the bike trail!
2. funny baby faces
3. baby and momma
4. getting stuck in the toys

2. this boy is walking with the push toy!
3. & 4. 1st and 2nd year dental bbq at the lake. such a gorgeous setting!

kirky got married

for the actual wedding day,

i'm stupid and pretty much took no pictures of whitney and kirk.

it was just annoying to have my camera on me and i didn't want to ask them to keep posing.

i'm crossing my fingers i'll get a hold of some beautiful ones from their photographer!

but whitney was completely gorgeous.

and kirk looked so happy all day long.

we loved every bit of the day.

and it was the most gorgeous day of weather ever.

i felt like we were waiting outside the temple forever for them to come out so i did take out my camera and snapped a few of the little ones.
they were so cute all day long.

after the temple kirk and whitney wanted IN-N-OUT for their first newlywed meal.

so we followed them to take pictures.

it was so cute watching them go in there.

everyone was just staring at them, it was darling.

and the man behind them kindly and graciously paid for their lunch!

 

we went back to the house for a bit,
visited with grandparents and aunts and uncles.
that's the best part about weddings: getting to be together as a family.
it truly was splendid.
we then went over to the pre-reception dinner and had the most wonderful bbq dinner.
whitney's parents actual have a side-bbqing business and boy was it incredible.
we seriously loved every bite!!

as the sun went down the little ones found the playset area.
the playset area had gorgeous  sun setting behind it so i snapped a few more pictures.

like casey mentioned a few days ago,
they had mini cupcakes that we GORGED ourselves on,
seriosuly, i'm embarrassed how many i ate, they were just so good!!

kirk and whitney had a spectacular came smash,
that's the only way to do it people,
SMASH THE CAKE!
they were so cute!

the 4 married siblings with a few of the in-laws went and decorated the car
(go mom for being prepared and actually bringing stuff...)
all i can say is that we had quite a bit of fun with it.
fdeciding what the windows would say was the funniest thing ever
luckily our father did not have time to read everything window :)
points to be remembered:
1. as scott was writing "yay, kirk's not gay"
casey said, "gay has a silent h in it, scott"
scott now questioned his spelling
(spelling is not scott's best subject:)
2. weston wrote grom, not groom.
3. logan wrote beb not bed.

sparklers were lit and the two were whisked away in style in the Just Married car!
such a wonderful evening!

we were talking all night how this was the LAST woodruff wedding.
how crazy is that!?
the next wedding in the family will be a niece or nephew!
but we do have many cousin weddings to look forward to.
cough cough holman girls cough cough
crazy enough us siblings are 9 years apart and got married within 8 years.
I helped lots with those numbers.

a christmas break update, from the phone.

here's arizona thus far from my telefono:

looking around at a way too expensive antique store.
IN-N-OUT. 'nuf said.

playing with phoebe outside.
casey leading annalee as she plays the piano.
shopping for food before the crowd comes into town.
casey entertaining about a million kids at the park with what time is it mr. fox

a double rainbow outside the house, prettyyyyyyy.
more goodwill shopping
(converstaions to go goodwill shopping always go as follows:
mom: kimber, wanna go to the goodwill with me?
me: no, i'll find something i want.
after cunning words, i always end up going...and finding things i can't resist...)
going on a bike ride/run. this trip ended with annalee falling on the stairs at the park which ended in an ER visit...not so fun. a little glue on the chin apparently goes a long way

we have 2 parents, 5 siblings, 5 spouses (update* 4 spouses, 1 fiance:), and 4 cute grandkids.

graduation time and skydiving!

so first and foremost, my brother, scotty, graduated from byu this past week, yay for him!

it was very fun being able to have the whole family together. i love it when we get the chance.

it's a hoot to see how all the little kids interact with each other :)
amanda and abby are missing from the picture bc abby was taking a nap

and, most excitingly we went skydiving!

ever since my mom's birthday last year, she said she's been wanting to go.

originally i think it was just going to be her and i but then casey and i got married and casey wanted to go and one by one the rest of the family jumped on board too!

we've been trying to do it for forever now and finally got to!
it was completely exhilirating and if you want to go you totally should.
we loved our experience!
although you had to sign your life away, we all lived to tell about it:
toes over the edge, back flips, 60 second free fall, freezing air, endless spinning,
the whole she-bang!

and because grandpa was with us,
we had to head to in n out immediately following our adventures to celebrate.
love that place :)
