swimming and bahama bucks

We only got to go to Bahama Bucks twice, BUT those two times were so delicious! The first time we went was with the whole AZ family after bowling one night. My children of course were crying and screaming during half of it because they didn't have their OWN cup. See Bryson? Insisting he hold Casey's cup. Max was screaming during some of it. Quinn probably was. Ugh, sometimes I wonder why we do fun things because during half of it it's NOT fun, blergh.

Our main Arizona love was SWIMMING!!!!!!! We were seriously out there for about 2 hours everyday. The babies did SOOOOOO great. These little puddle jumpers are so great, it allowed them to have their own fun, independent swimming experience the whole time. Bryson was a great floater and kicker, Quinn whined a little more but really they were so great. Maxson on the other hand, sigh. He did SO great the first 2 days we swam together. And then did really bad one day, and then refused to swim for days on end. We learned he had a really bad ear infection, poor guy, luckily we didn't push him much when he said he didn't want to swim. He did really good another day, and then really awful some other days. When I say really awful I mean he refused to take off the floatie and swim but he'd still get in the pool and swim. When he did try to swim he could swim like all the way across the pool by himself, silly boy, blah. We'll get there someday.

Casey FINALLY got his free punch on this visit so he got the biggest size possible, ha. savage.

Wish we had more swimming pictures, but with all our little kids and no water proof camera it was just a little difficult!

When we got back to Arizona, guess what we did? 

Swim!

Swim swim swim swim swim.

A bunch of these pictures are so similar but I love all of Maxson's expressions. He loved this little squirt gun and was oober proud of himself when he could finally fill the gun and squirt it himself.

b. Maxson LOVED spraying Casey and I with the freezing cold hose. I think that was even better than the squirt gun.

 Another night we finally got to take Cody and Camille's family to Bahama Bucks, Casey was really excited, as was the rest of the crew!

 I love this little series of 3 pictures, Brielle taking the first sips of a smoothie and Jaden disappointed, haha.

 We LOVE our Bahama Bucks, that snow is just so dang smooth!

 We took a trip to IKEA (IKEA!!!!) to pick up  few little kid things (I wish it was furniture!). Well we got to try out our new groovy stroller! Let me tell you, it's gonna be pretty sweet with the twins and Maxson!

christmas vacay part 4

bahama bucks run.

i think casey only made it down to bahama bucks twice while we were there.

i went with him once and we took this borage of ladies with us.

they were so very happy.

we got 1 big one and asked for 3 sample cups to keep putting more snow in for each girl.

maxson kept taking bites but would give us the most most sour, unhappy face ever and then keep asking for more, too funny

silly string fight.

our annual silly string fight was a little different this year.

usually we do it with some long time neighbor friends of ours, but this year the timing didn't work out well, unfortunately.

so just our woodruff family went in the front yard and had a silly string fight against one another.

the adults loved it, it was perfectly epic.

the children hated  it. i'm certain that all 8 grandchildren were either near tears or had full tears in their eyes.

we played a myriad of games one night including the very woodruff favorite savage game.

i don't know if there's a name for it, but how it worked this year was my mom wrapped a tiny box (filled with $5 in it) with seran wrap all over it. think small tiffany ring box wrapped to the size of a large cantaloupe. within all that wrapping there were small prizes of candy and such for the little ones to win if their parents got it out. it wasn't just 1 piece of seran wrap, but lots of pieces. every time someone in the circle rolls doubles they take it from the previous person to try and unwrap it. plus you have to wear a snazzy zebra blindfold. it is such a fun game for our family to play. maxson hated it. pretty much, every time anyone in the circle would scream/yell (likely due to them excitedly getting doubles or disappointed the ball was already being taken away) he cried, ha. in the end my brother weston won this year- somehow he got doubles on nearly every turn!

we also played a bunch of minute to win it games which were hilarious.

speaking of grandkids, all the grandkids were finally together this christmas!

oh how i love these 8 little children so very much.

and we got the four 2012 blonde babies all together.
now that i think of it, i think all the grandkids have blue eyes…

everyone in the house ran outside when it was first spotted and we watched it magically change for a good 10 minutes
