Casey was going to a BYU football game one Friday night so I and the kids hitched a ride down to Utah with him so we could go to a pumpkin patch!
The kids were awful in the car, not going to lie. That's life.
It was a late game so we left right after Casey got home from work, 5, and then booked it to Provo to drop him off at the game where he met his dad. They have season tickets to the games this year. Poor Bryson must have gotten car sick and threw up around Heber, poor boy.
I got to Weston and Amanda's house around 8:45 where Max and Bryson were alseep. I dragged my 7 1/2 month pregnant body up and down the stairs so many times taking up sleeping kids and sleeping items with Quinn crying behind me because I wasn't holding him and it was a new place and he wasn't so sure about the surroundings, ha. His crying eventually woke up and Bryson unfortunately and I then had two cranky mischievous babies with me for the next hour until they were ready to go to bed again. Poor Weston and Amanda, I bet their stress levels were high because my kids compared to theirs are just two different levels of chaos, lol. I ended up having to sleep on the ground with them until they fell asleep at 10:15 pm.
Casey got him from a LATE double overtime BYU game at 1:30, they won, yay! In the morning we played with Abby, Britton, and Ella. Max LOVED playing with Britton, just adored him. My twins tormented their dog. we walked to the park behind their house with all the kids and played for awhile, jumped on the tramp, Weston made pancakes, and we just had a nice time with those sweet nieces and nephew and our kids!
We quickly packed up and headed to a small pumpkin patch right there in Springville! It was perfectly small for our group of little kids. Weston and Amanda met us there with their kids too! They loved the slide the most going up and and over and over again. I personally loved the huge corn pit the most. They climbed up large bales of hay, saw a little petting zoo, Max got lost in the huge corn maze for a few minutes because he ran off, oh goodness. We went on a tractor ride through their pumpkin field and a little of the cornfield too. Max picked out a white pumpkin and we called it a morning! Nice and sweet! Plus since our kids woke up so early we really needed to get them back in the car to drive back to Wyoming so they's actually sleep the whole time! But really we had the best time!
So funny these two went down together and bryson face planted and got a face full of corn lol
It was a fun little morning and quick trip to Utah but it was fun to see family and do all the fun pumpkin patch stuff!

The adventures of Maxson and Chloe // Fall in Nebraska
Chloe is our next door neighbor. Her and Max are attached at the hip. They both love each other so stinking much. If one spots the other they run to each other yelling the other's name and embrace for a big hug, it's pretty much adorable. Chloe was sick recently for awhile and Max was devastated he couldn't play with her, he just kept asking and asking and asking if she could come play outside. I'm so happy we get such amazing friends to live right around us!
They helped me carve this pumpkin to cook dinner in it, neither one was willing to touch the guts inside, I was so surprised they're both usually oh so brave!
Our dinner in a pumpkin recipe via Mel's kitchen cafe.
Preschool shenanigans
The campus near us had this tree celebrations thing we went to. Max only cared about being around Chloe most of the time. Katie taught us all about the true story of Smokey the Bear, that girl knows so much random information, it's amazing. The kids thought touching the bear was pretty cool. They made bug hats and collected lots of swag.
Max and Chloe helped plant a tree!
Halloween cookie decorating.
Max poured at least half a bottle of sprinkles on his cookie, ha that boy.
Max and Chloe helped me make the babies birthday cakes! They were super eager and excited to help.
Ventured to the library story time for their special fire fighter day. Glories I did not take the babies because Max had 2 melt downs whilst there, ooy. But he LOVED the fire truck and their fire gear.
Getting ready for Halloween!
More leaf playing, the videos I have of them on this are super cute.
Christy invented a new activity the kids kicking leaves off branches that had fallen from the tree, the kids loved it, and now hope of it every time
Max is hilariously naughty at times. Sometimes extremely frustratingly naughty but sometimes hilarious. Boy has got a determined mind of his own. His speaking is getting better and better, he still has a hard time enunciating perfectly but I understand nearly everything he says as well as other parents, I think he'll get better with time. He has so much passion energy and excitement for life. He's the boy in the group running, going, doing, leading, I just need to learn how to harness his energy and love for all things life a little better. I'm already cursing winter in my mind for forcing us to stay cooped up inside! The extended warm days of fall have SAVED us immensely. This boy LIVES to go play outside. I hope so badly we get to move to a fenced in backyard that is fun for the kids to play in.

Halloween 2014
I present Max and his wild thing from Where the Wild Things Are.
As soon as Maxson began totally loving the book where the wild things are months ago, I thought it would be so fun to dress up as characters from it. Alas, I was induced 10 days before Halloween and hadn't worked a ton on our costumes. So the night before the induction, I stayed up late working on their costumes. Thank goodness my mother came in town and put all the finishing touches on them for me! They sent me tons of pictures from before and during the trunk or treat and I was smiling from ear to ear looking at these two. I love that Casey was just as excited to dress up.
The Welch's as Mary Poppins and Bert
Maxson's really cute tail.
The Blomstedts as Wizard of OZ characters
My mom was so nice to FaceTime me during a bunch of the trunk or treat including the actual walking around part of candy gathering, my momma heart was so happy and grateful to be apart of that night. I loved watching my little Maxson (who really should have been a Wild Thing himself because he sure was WILD that night!)
The twins and I got home Halloween morning. I made sure we ran to store that afternoon to pick up pumpkins to carve; tradition had to stay alive plus I wanted to see Maxson's reaction to touching the pumpkin seeds and slime inside, ha.
He wouldn't touch any of it. Ha, he completely refused, even when we told him it was like worms! I was really surprised.
It was a great family activity
A great family activity until Maxson was running away from us on the couch and fell onto a baby :(
I cut out the top, Casey scraped the inside, and my mom cut the face out. It was definitely a team work pumpkin.
Intermission for cute baby picture. I think Quinn...
Out for a quick trick or treating! It was literally freezing that night, totally stunk. We went to just 2 of our neighbors houses for fun. Max had just as much fun running to answer the door for trick or treaters. He was also off the wall this night and trunk or treat night from so much candy! SO much as in two suckers… crazy boy.
Family picture!

It was such a fun Halloween. Next year we'll have a full family of 5 to dress up with! Also I'm so done with having all this candy around, it's driving me nuts how much Maxson asks for it/how much I eat it! But dear old dad insists we keep it around, blah.
Happy Halloween!
