Easter Sunday 2016

Easter was wonderful. I'm so happy for a special day each year to really reflect on the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! The children were a thousand times better at church that day. We had a pleasant day searching for Easter eggs, taking pictures, and it ended in a most wonderful night of Easter dinner at our good friends home with children galore, wonderful food, and good conversation. My how it was a wonderful day.

This was really how pictures went.
Bryson, 17 months! Hey freckle :)

 Maxson 3
 Quinn, 17 months
Time for the Easter egg hunt! Max followed a trail of cotton balls to the front yard where the Easter baskets were and there was an Easter egg hunt!
The excitement was extremely tangible and I loved every second. Holidays are truly getting better and better as this boy gets older.

Let it be known, the Easter baskets only had books and 1 ball each, haha, but I'm glad he was so excited.
AND the Easter eggs only had chocolate teddy grahams in them because Max had WAYYYYY too much candy in the days leading up to this.

Bryson and Quinn were stoked for the balls, ha

Happy Easter my friends, if you haven't yet gotten to watch the church's Hallelujah campaign go do so!

Easter egg dyeing

Earlier in Easter week we went outside real quick to dye our Easter eggs, it was simple and fun.
Any fellow Wilson orchestra members recognize Maxosn's shirt? Is it ridiculous that I still have that shirt from 5th grade?

After Maxson dyed his first egg, he promptly went and threw/smashed it all over the cement. That was his last egg :)
Our cute neighbor joined us

Conference and Easter weekend.

We were so lucky to have two favorite activity-weekends fall on the same weekend this year: LDS General Conference and Easter! It was wonderful being edified by our prohpets and apostles about ou Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as well as the gift and importance of families. Here's some peek-chas!

THe kids were overall pretty darn good during conference. Babies were asleep probably half the time and pretty happy if we were holding them. And Max slept during both afternoon sessions, score! When he was awake we built towers while trying to listen, let him play on the iPad,, and played with toys.
Our semi-annual picture with the Prophet! The best we could do with 3 kids this year, ha. Oh how I love President Monson.
Easter morning breakfast was green pancakes, we be fancy like that
Every time the choir sang Max thoroughly enjoyed it.
1. We made empty tomb rolls earlier in the week as well as for a big Easter dinner with friends on Sunday night.
2. Facetimed these cute people real quick, I love how happy those little girls get when seeing the babies smile.
More building.
Baby Easter bunnies! BQ
Max came down stairs Sunday morning to find his Easter basket sitting there.

We did a little Easter egg hunt outside between session which Maxson thoroughly enjoyed, the following days he constantly had me hide the easter eggs throughout the house for him to find.

Not pictured was A) a big General Conference breakfast with some friends, food was delicious and never ending, so fun to kick off the weekend with friends. And B) Sunday night ended with another big Easter dinner with friends. Glorious food and children galore (with an enclosed backyard for kids to play in, kinda felt like heaven).

Happy Easter and Conference! Until next year!

Happy Easter! 2015

Easter is such a happy holiday! We are reminded that just like spring, our bodies will be renewed to beauty and resurrected once again. How incredibly blessed ALL the children of God are to receive this wonderful, beautiful gift. I know my Savior lives, my friends! God is good, He is so very, very good.
What it takes to get the above picture:
1. Balance babies with various body parts: Casey's chin, Kimber's hip.
2. Hide the insane amount of poop that came up Bryson's back with a burp rag and hope it doesn't get on you, baby's pants unnecessary.
3. Maxson's shoes optional
4. One leg balancing shows you are great multitasking mother
5. Both parents must try to grab one of Maxson's hands as to keep him from running away in case the other parent accidentally lets go during pictures.

We will be learning about and remembering our Savior, Jesus Christ today be watching General Cnference live at 10 am/ 2 pm MST. You can join and watch here too!

easter in arizona!

casey was sweet enough to let me fly down to arizona for a sweet little retreat on easter day!
max did great on the plane and we were so excited to see granny and papa and cousins!
we spent our easter sunday in my dad's young single adult ward that he's the bishop over. maxson was a riot all of church. those YSA were all so willing to give max there cell phones, so he pretty much loved everyone. (and then the next day at FHE all the YSA gave him all the jelly beans he wanted, ha).
i FaceTime my parents so much, he became pretty comfortable to them pretty fast. he did to everyone for the most part really, i think it's just his personality to not be scared of people (for instance, on the plane ride we took a couple walks up and down the aisle and he stopped at every aisle to get the attention of the aisle seat passenger to wave hello to them.)

my brother kirk and SIL whitney just got a new puppy, scout, and max was obsessed with that dog. it is really hard to describe his excitement and happiness over this dog (he's actually sitting right next to me pointing at these pictures and yelping in excitement). it was the most perfect dog. a sweet little puppy that didn't run away from max every time max went over to her, she didn't bite, she licked him lots, didn't jump, she laid there a lot sleepy and he just went CRAZY on her. he loved that little puppy so much, so much. thanks so much kirk and whitney for getting this cute new puppy!
